Loftia Crops List: What Is Confirmed So Far

The confirmed Loftia crop situation: 10 basic and 5 exotic crops announced for hydroponic farming, plus Bioluminescent Ivy, rest pending.

Last Updated: 2026-10-22

Loftia Crops List: What Is Confirmed So Far

Quick answer: Loftia has one hard crop number in its official record. On November 30, 2022 the developers announced 10 basic crops and 5 exotic crops for hydroponic farming, and they have never published those 15 names as text. The only plant family named officially is Bioluminescent Ivy, revealed February 28, 2023 with five flower variations; the only crop names in official demo text are carrot and clover. As of the October 2026 Steam Next Fest demo, no crop has a published grow time, yield, seed price or nutrient cost. The full list with real numbers arrives with Early Access on November 3, 2026.

  • 15 crops announced for hydroponic farming: 10 basic plus 5 exotic.
  • 1 named plant family: Bioluminescent Ivy, with 5 flower variations listed by name.
  • 2 crop names in 2026 official demo text: carrot seeds and clover.
  • 0 published numbers for grow time, yield, seed price, sell price or Super Crops odds.
  • Everything else is coming in Early Access on November 3, 2026.

That post shows the crop art as images, captioned "Our first 10 basic crops!" and "And our first 5 exotic crops!", so the count exists while the names do not. A fan list of fifteen Loftia crops is reading promotional art, not a developer index.

The January 2023 update added the first category beyond that split: mushrooms and herbs, species chosen from community suggestions and grown on hydroponic machines in a space-efficient way, with flowers flagged as next. It also documents LoftiaBot, the Discord farming bot where the team jokes that tomato is the superior crop.

Bioluminescent Ivy: the only crop family named in official text

Variation Official status Date
Pom Pom Chrysanthemum Bioluminescent Ivy flower variation Feb 2023
Monkey Cup Bioluminescent Ivy flower variation Feb 2023
Fly Agaric Mushroom Bioluminescent Ivy flower variation Feb 2023
Canterbury Bell Flower Bioluminescent Ivy flower variation Feb 2023
Fuchsia Bioluminescent Ivy flower variation Feb 2023

The February 2023 update describes these as flowers modified with foxfire fungi so they produce a continuous glow, meant to light the city at night and cut the need for electricity.

Nothing official says Bioluminescent Ivy counts toward the five exotic crops. It is a separate reveal, and counting it as one of the five is an assumption.

Every Early Access launch row above resolves on November 3, 2026.

Do not trust a pre-launch crop table with numbers in it

Any yield, drop rate, grow timer or seed price written before November 3, 2026 is guesswork dressed as data. A page listing grow times for fifteen Loftia crops cannot come from the developers.

The four factors behind every crop

All four are factors you control to affect crop yield, and no numbers were published for any of them.

Factor Numbers published
Water No
Oxygen No
Nutrients No
Light No

The factors come from the hydroponic infographic published in November 2022, the same post carrying the crop counts. Growing tools run on renewable energy, sun, wind and rain, and patch notes #1 from October 21, 2026 states that solar panels now generate more energy in rain and at night. The growing mechanic is in Loftia Farming Basics: Solarpunk Growing Methods, and the station tier is in Loftia Hydroponics and Super Crops Explained.

What arrives on November 3, 2026

Every row in this table is coming in Early Access on November 3, 2026.

Hydroponics Stations More advanced farming, starting with Hydroponics Stations
Nutrients Keep your Hydroponics Stations topped up with nutrients
Super Crops A chance to grow some Loftian Super Crops
Community farms Hanging Gardens has greenery, fishing spots and community farms
Farming perks Proficiencies go past the demo Level 5 cap; you pick which Perks to invest in

Official source: Loftia Early Access

The demo gives you a starter plot and a seed shop, but the roster, the stations and the Super Crops tier land together: it previews the loop, not the roster. The community farms are in Loftia Hanging Gardens: What Early Access Adds, the perk system in Loftia Proficiencies and Perks Explained, and the food side in Loftia Cooking and Recipes: What's Known.

Farming right now in the demo

  • Buy seeds from Hazel, whose official occupation is Seed Shop Owner.
  • Seeds you own can sit invisible in your bag. Hold down R to open the tool wheel, then left-click the item from your inventory.
  • Patch notes #1 reworked the tool wheel tutorial because players were struggling to find their carrot seeds.
  • Your Farming proficiency caps at Level 5 in the demo, a demo limit rather than the final ceiling, and the demo runs until October 26, 2026.
  • Quests, items, character progression and your character name all carry over into Early Access.

The first-session route is in Loftia Beginner Guide: First Steps in the Demo, and the carry-over rules are in Loftia Demo Progress and What Carries Over.

How this table gets finished

When Early Access opens on November 3, 2026, this table on loftia-guide.wiki gets rewritten against live data:

  1. Write down every seed Hazel's shop sells, with its price in Dew.
  2. Plant one of each, time it against the in-game clock, and record grow time and yield.
  3. Nudge each of the four factors off its default and record what changes.
Run the timing test before the demo closes

The demo leaves Steam on October 26, 2026. Time the crops yourself in the next four days and keep your notes.

FAQ

How many crops are in Loftia? 15 for hydroponic farming, announced November 30, 2022 as 10 basic plus 5 exotic, and not updated since. Treat it as the last announced figure, not the launch roster.

What is Bioluminescent Ivy? A glowing flowering plant introduced on February 28, 2023. Official text describes flowers modified with foxfire fungi that give off a continuous glow, in five named variations: Pom Pom Chrysanthemum, Monkey Cup, Fly Agaric Mushroom, Canterbury Bell Flower and Fuchsia.

Can I plant all 15 crops in the demo? No. The demo exposes a starter plot and the seeds Hazel sells; the full hydroponic line, including Hydroponics Stations and Super Crops, is coming in Early Access on November 3, 2026.

Is there an official Loftia crop list anywhere? No. The crop names have only ever appeared as images in the developer blog, and the only named plants in text are the Bioluminescent Ivy variations, carrot and clover.
