Loftia demo progress, character name and three demo rewards carry into Early Access on November 3, 2026, but only if you link your loftia.gg account.
Loftia Demo Progress and What Carries Over
Your Loftia demo progress carries into Early Access: completed quests, collected items, character progression and the character name you claimed all stay on your account when Early Access opens on November 3, 2026 at 1pm EST. Three easy-to-miss conditions decide whether you actually keep them. Link your loftia.gg account to your email in game before the demo closes on October 26, 2026. Accept that only one character per account can be created during the demo. And log into Early Access at least once before February 3, 2027, or the name you claimed goes back on the market for other players to take.
- The demo runs October 19 to October 26, 2026 on official English dates, which is October 20 to October 27 in Beijing time.
- Linking your loftia.gg account with your email in game is what makes the carryover recoverable.
- Three demo rewards: the Demo Banner, the Pebble Chair for one invited friend, the Pebble Couch for two.
What Actually Carries Over
| Demo progress | Carries into Early Access | Detail |
|---|---|---|
| Completed quests | Yes | Quest states stay done |
| Collected items | Yes | What you gather or craft is kept |
| Character progression | Yes | Demo caps every proficiency at Level 5 |
| Character name | Yes, three-month hold | Released if you never log in |
| Second character | Not during the demo | One per account until Early Access |
The demo launch announcement says it directly: all completed quests, collected items, and character progression will remain with you when Early Access begins a week after the Next Fest ends. The official demo page repeats it: your gameplay progress and character name will carry over into Early Access.

Condition 1: Link Your loftia.gg Account in Game
This one decides whether the rest of the page matters. Rewards are redeemed by linking your Loftia website account in game using your email address, and the announcement says it without softening it: if you do not link an account, the developers will not be able to recover any rewards or progress made during the demo. No manual rescue queue has been described. Account problems go to [email protected].
Two steps, and people often complete only the first:
- Create or sign in to your loftia.gg account. The demo page tells you to sign in to it to track progress and claim rewards.
- In game, link that account with your email address, then claim the reward on the Loftia website so it is saved for Early Access.
If you played during the Next Fest week and never linked, you can still link now. Once the demo closes on your account, the statement above is all that applies.
Unlinked demo progress is not recoverable. Link your loftia.gg account with your email in game, claim the rewards on loftia.gg, and confirm they show on your account page before October 26, 2026.
Pre-registration is the easy way to sort the account. It is open on the official site, and everyone who pre-registers can claim two limited time in-game rewards. When Early Access launches, you link that same account in game.

Condition 2: One Character per Account During the Demo
Character names will be saved too, but with a limit: only one character per account can be created during the demo. After Early Access has begun, you will be able to create multiple characters per account. The demo is therefore the only stretch where your name choice is irreversible, because there is no second slot to fall back on, which makes it a naming decision rather than a taste test. Read the Loftia character creation guide before you type.
Condition 3: Your Name Is Only Held Until February 3, 2027
A name claimed during the Next Fest demo is released to other players if you do not log into Early Access within the three months between November 3rd, 2026 and February 3rd, 2027. That is a hard release date, not a soft warning. The official Chinese site gives the same window as November 4, 2026 to February 4, 2027 in Beijing time.
The rule is about logging in, not about playing a certain amount. One successful login inside that window holds the name, and no way to renew it afterwards has been announced.
The hold starts when Early Access opens on November 3, 2026 and ends February 3, 2027. A single login inside that window keeps the name, and missing it means starting the name hunt again from scratch.
The Three Demo Rewards
| Reward | How you unlock it | When | How you claim it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Demo Banner | Enter the Player Neighborhood for the first time | First 10 minutes | Link, claim on loftia.gg |
| Pebble Chair | Invite 1 friend to play the demo | During the demo window | Link, claim on loftia.gg |
| Pebble Couch | Invite 2 friends to play the demo | During the demo window | Link, claim on loftia.gg |
The Demo Banner commemorates everyone who joins the demo during the Next Fest week. The two Pebble furniture pieces are the friend-invite track, one friend for the chair and two for the couch, which is why the official demo page says Loftia is better with friends.

One caveat: the official known-issues list states that the demo banner currently uses a temporary placeholder asset and icon. The reward is real and carries over, but the art is not final. See our Loftia patch notes and known issues page.

Demo to Early Access Timeline
| Date | What happens, and what to do |
|---|---|
| October 19, 2026, 1pm EDT | Demo goes live for the October Steam Next Fest. Create your account, pre-register, claim your name |
| First 10 minutes | The Player Neighborhood becomes reachable. Enter it once to unlock the Demo Banner |
| Demo hours | Loftia City questline, salvage, crops, decorating. Complete quests, since they carry over |
| Before October 26 | Claim your demo rewards. Link in game, then claim on loftia.gg |
| October 26, 2026 | Next Fest ends and the demo goes offline. Anything unclaimed is at risk |
| November 3, 2026, 1pm EST | Early Access opens, November 4 at 2am in Beijing time. Log in and keep your name |
| February 3, 2027 | Character name release deadline. Last safe login for a demo name |
The demo content is a clean slice of the opening hours: the Loftia City questline, NPCs, salvage, crops and a shared neighbourhood to decorate. The questline stops right before the Hanging Gardens, so nothing in the demo spoils Early Access. The Loftia beginner guide covers the fastest route through that questline, and the Loftia City guide maps what is reachable inside the demo boundary.
As of October 22, 2026 the demo had 220 Steam reviews, 178 positive and 42 negative, which Steam rates Very Positive at roughly 80.9 percent, with 2,616 players in the demo at 11:19 UTC that day.
What the Demo Does Not Give You
The carryover is generous, but it is not Early Access itself. Every proficiency in the demo is capped at Level 5, and the Loftia proficiencies and perks guide covers what changes past that wall. Hanging Gardens, Gridfall, pets, hydroponics and Super Crops, Urbex and adventure gauntlets are all coming in Early Access on November 3, 2026, not in the demo build. The Loftia pets guide covers the adoption system the demo deliberately withholds.
Set the Account Up Before November 3
Carryover only matters if you own the game on the same account you linked in the demo. Loftia is buy-to-play on Steam and the Epic Games Store, with a US base price of $29.99 and a 17 percent launch discount bringing it to $24.89 during Early Access, and no play subscription. The Loftia price and buying guide has the regional picture, and the Loftia release date and Early Access preparation guide covers the launch moment in both time zones.

FAQ
Does my Loftia demo progress really carry over to Early Access?
Yes. Completed quests, collected items, character progression and your character name all carry over, and the demo launch announcement says all of it will remain with you when Early Access begins.
Do I need a loftia.gg account to keep my demo progress?
You need to link one in game, using your email address. The developers say plainly that if you do not link an account, they will not be able to recover any rewards or progress made during the demo, so link it before the demo closes on October 26, 2026.
Can I make more than one character during the demo?
No. Only one character per account can be created during the demo. Multiple characters per account become available after Early Access has begun.
What happens to my character name if I do not log in?
It is released to other players. A name claimed in the Next Fest demo is made available for other players to claim if you do not log into Early Access between November 3rd, 2026 and February 3rd, 2027.
When does the demo end and when does Early Access start?
The demo runs October 19 to October 26, 2026 on official English dates, which is October 20 to October 27 in Beijing time. Early Access opens November 3, 2026 at 1pm EST, which is 2am on November 4 in Beijing time.
