Loftia Release Date and Early Access Prep Guide

Loftia enters Early Access on November 3, 2026 at 1pm EST. That is 2:00am on November 4, 2026 in Beijing time, and the official Chinese-language site prints that same launch as November 4 in local time. Launch day covers Windows PC and Mac on Steam and the Epic Games Store, at a US$29.99 base price with a 17% launch discount that brings it to US$24.89. What follows is the launch-day checklist, the one date rule that can cost you your character name, and an honest list of what Qloud Games has not announced.

  • Early Access opens: November 3, 2026, 1pm EST (November 4, 2am Beijing time)
  • Free demo window: October 19 to October 26, 2026, still open as of October 22, 2026
  • Pre-registration: open since September 16, 2026 on the official site, with two limited-time in-game rewards
  • Price at launch: US$29.99 base, US$24.89 with the 17% discount, ¥108 in China and ¥89.64 discounted
  • Character-name reservation: a demo name is released on February 3, 2027 if you never log in
  • Roadmap: none published. The studio has committed to expanding the world, not to a dated feature schedule

The run-up has been unusually public. A two-week closed beta in April 2026 opened to 25,000 players, the studio took Most Anticipated Game at the Cozy Game Awards in June, and the release date itself was announced on September 20 before PC Gaming Show: Tokyo Direct. Pre-registration opened four days earlier, on September 16. The launch moment was settled months before the demo launched.

The launch moment in both time zones

The official FAQ gives the shortest and clearest statement in the whole project: "Early Access will launch on Nov 3, 2026 at 1pm EST." The Steam store page lists the date as 3 Nov, 2026 and still shows the game as coming soon, so the hour is the FAQ's exclusive detail.

The studio is careful with time zones elsewhere: the demo launch announcement said the demo went live on "October 19th at 1pm EDT" while the Early Access date uses EST. On November 3, 2026 the US East coast is on standard time, so 1pm EST is 18:00 UTC, which is 02:00 on November 4 in China, Hong Kong and Singapore. The Chinese-language Early Access page states the same thing as November 4, and its demo dates are printed as October 20 to October 27 for the same reason. If you plan to play at a civilised hour in China, the launch is the middle of the night.

Moment Official wording Your local clock

Demo playable until Oct 26, 2026 Oct 27, 2026 in Beijing

Spending money inside Loftia is limited to cosmetics: outfits, furniture, pet accessories and styles, and visual effects, sold in the Backer Boutique, with no gacha mechanics. The optional Community Pass unlocks extra cosmetic rewards attached to World Projects, and those rewards do not expire once the project is finished. The price guide covers what is confirmed about regional pricing and what is still unannounced.

The demo window closes on October 26

The free demo covers the opening of the Loftia City questline and stops just before the Hanging Gardens. It launched on October 19 for the October Steam Next Fest and stays downloadable until the festival ends on October 26, which is October 27 in Beijing time. Demo play is not throwaway: the demo announcement promises that "Progress you make in this demo will carry over into Early Access", and completed quests, collected items and character progression all stay with you. The demo progress and carryover guide has the exact conditions.

Demo reward How it is unlocked
Demo Banner Enter the Player Neighborhood for the first time, reachable within about ten minutes of starting
Pebble Chair Invite one friend to play the demo
Pebble Couch Invite two friends to play the demo

Pebble Couch demo reward render beside unrevealed reward silhouette
Pebble Couch demo reward render beside unrevealed reward silhouette

The official render above shows the couch reward next to the silhouette of a reward that has not been revealed. To redeem any of these, you link your loftia.gg account in-game with your email address; if you do not link an account, the studio says it cannot recover rewards or progress made during the demo. Account trouble goes to [email protected]. The demo also has a known-issue list and patch notes on the official news page, including the first patch from October 21, so it is worth reading before you assume a bug is your setup.

Your pre-launch checklist

  1. Wishlist the game on Steam. The studio asked for wishlists directly in the release-date announcement, and set a 500,000-wishlist community goal that unlocks an extra reward for everyone if the community hits it.
  2. Pre-register on the official site. Pre-registration has been open since September 16, 2026, and everyone who registers can claim two limited-time in-game rewards, including players who already have a Loftia account. Your loftia.gg account is what you link in-game at launch, so register early rather than at 1pm on November 3.
  3. Create the account with an email you actually read. Reward claims and account recovery both depend on it.
  4. Claim a character name now, if you want a specific one. Only one character per account can be created during the demo, and multiple characters become possible after Early Access begins.
  5. Pick a server with your friends. Server choice decides who you can group with, and the studio says you are never locked to one. The servers guide covers how grouping and neighborhoods work.
  6. Check your hardware before you buy. Ten gigabytes of space is enough, but install to an internal drive rather than an external one, because external drives badly increase load times and cause timeouts. Intel Macs are out, and the studio advises Low graphics settings on older machines with less than 16 GB of RAM. See the system requirements and the Steam Deck setup notes.
  7. Skim the known issues. Gamepad navigation in settings needs the D-Pad rather than the stick, and the game cannot be exited from the login screen with a controller. Those are documented bugs, not your setup, and the full list is on the patch notes and known issues page.

The three-month character name rule

This is the only pre-launch rule that can actually cost you something. A name claimed during the Next Fest demo is held for you only if you log into Early Access between November 3, 2026 and February 3, 2027. If you never log in inside that three-month window, the name is released and other players can claim it. The official Chinese page prints the same rule as November 4, 2026 to February 4, 2027, because it is quoting the rule in Beijing time.

Item What happens to it
Completed quests Carried into Early Access
Collected items Carried into Early Access
Character progression Carried into Early Access
Character name Carried over, but released if you do not log in within three months of launch
A demo name is a reservation, not a lifetime claim

Log into Early Access at least once before February 3, 2027 (February 4 in Beijing) and the name is yours. Miss the window and it goes back into the pool for other players, including the name you want to be known by. If you did not play the demo, you choose a name at launch instead, so this rule does not apply to you.

What Early Access adds on day one

The official Early Access page names eight additions under the heading "What's coming to Early Access?", followed by the line "And more to come!" and a promise that the page will keep being updated before launch. Every one of these is announced for Early Access on November 3, 2026, and none of them is playable today.

Announced addition What it is Demo status
Hanging Gardens A peaceful floating island district on the edge of Loftia City, with community farms, fishing spots and a dark forest to explore Not in the demo; the demo quest ends just before it
Gridfall The salvaging district built from old-world ruins, with air rails, skyscrapers, a museum and underground tunnels Not in the public demo; it was open during the April 2026 closed beta
Pets Adopt, care for, pet and dress up companions Not in the demo; you can meet pets but not own them
Level up your proficiencies Farming, Crafting, Cooking, Fishing and more go past the demo's Level 5 cap, and points go into Perks Demo cap is Level 5, which is a demo limit and not the design ceiling
Sustainable farming Hydroponics Stations that need nutrient refills, with a chance of Super Crops Not in the demo
More adventures Adventure gauntlets, the challenge format the demo only partly showed Partly shown in the demo
More World Projects Shared community goals including rebuilding the Loftia City Dome and adding renewable energy sources The demo had one World Project, Pebble's birthday party, which lands on launch day
Urbex Urban exploration of underground areas in Gridfall using a special tool to collect rare resources Not in the demo

The demo also showed that World Projects reward everyone with one track and Community Pass holders with a second, which is how the studio intends to fund a live-service MMO without touching gameplay. Details for the individual systems, crop lists, perk trees and furniture catalogs, are not published yet, and the honest reason is simple: the numbers are being tuned. The demo is the reference point for what the game looks like, and the beginner guide covers what to actually do in the first hour.

What is still unannounced

  • No roadmap. The release-date announcement says Early Access exists so the team can keep improving systems, expanding the world, and adding features, stories and areas over time. There is no dated feature schedule, no end-of-Early-Access date and no 1.0 date.
  • Cross-play is still an intention, not a feature. The FAQ says the studio is researching and testing it and cannot promise it yet, and that you need to buy the game on each platform you want to play on.
  • Nintendo Switch is 2027 with no date. PlayStation, Xbox and mobile have no official mention at all.
  • The Epic Games Store page is not confirmed live. Both the FAQ and the Early Access page name Epic as a launch platform, but as of October 22, 2026 no store page had been verified. Check before planning to buy there.
  • No prices for the Community Pass or any cosmetic. Only the structure is public: an optional pass for World Project cosmetics, and a cosmetic-only Backer Boutique.
  • No system numbers. Crop yields, Super Crops odds, proficiency costs, Perk trees and furniture catalogs are all unannounced. The demo's Level 5 proficiency cap is a demo restriction, not the final ceiling.
Two places to watch on launch day

The official news page carries patch notes, server status and known issues, and the studio announces server downtime and hotfixes in its Discord. The release-date announcement is the authoritative statement of the launch moment if anything else drifts.

FAQ

When exactly does Loftia release? Early Access opens November 3, 2026 at 1pm EST, which is 18:00 UTC and 2:00am on November 4 in Beijing time. The date was confirmed in the September 20 release-date announcement and repeated on the official FAQ and Early Access page.

Is the release date November 3 or November 4? Both, depending on where you are. The English site uses November 3 with a 1pm EST start, and the Chinese site uses November 4 because that is the local Beijing date. The underlying moment is the same one.

Will my demo character and progress carry over? Yes. The studio states that completed quests, collected items and character progression carry over, and the character name comes with it, provided you log into Early Access within three months of launch. If you do not, the name is released to other players.

Do I need to buy the game now, or can I wait? You can wait. Loftia is buy-to-play with no subscription, and the release date is already public. Pre-registering on the official site is the one step with a reward attached, and it costs nothing.

Is there a roadmap for what comes after launch? No dated one. The commitment is that the team will keep expanding the world and adding features through Early Access, and the Early Access page lists eight named additions plus an open "And more to come!" section that will be updated before launch.

Will it come to consoles or support cross-play? Nintendo Switch is stated for 2027 without a date. Cross-play is something the studio says it is aiming for while still researching and testing, so treat it as unconfirmed. PlayStation, Xbox and mobile have not been mentioned.
