Hanging Gardens arrives in Early Access on November 3, 2026: a quiet floating island with greenery, fishing spots, farms and a forest.
Loftia Hanging Gardens: What Early Access Adds on November 3, 2026
Hanging Gardens is not playable today. It is one of three major regions that open when Loftia enters Early Access on November 3, 2026 at 1pm EST (2am on November 4 in Beijing time). Officially it is a peaceful floating island on the edges of Loftia City that celebrates mother nature, with lush greenery, cozy fishing spots, community farms, and a mysterious dark forest waiting to be explored. Its caretaker is Herb. No map, fish table, crop list or quest list exists yet, so this page separates what is confirmed from what you can only measure at launch.

What the developers have actually said
The official write-up reads: "Tucked away on the edges of Loftia City, the Hanging Gardens is a peaceful floating island that celebrates mother nature. This Loftia district is filled with lush greenery, cozy fishing spots, community farms, and a mysterious dark forest waiting to be explored!"
Official source: Loftia Early Access
That paragraph is the entire official description, and the same page says more will be added before launch. On the Steam store page they describe the shape of the release: Early Access "will showcase an entire storyline spanning 3 major regions: Loftia City, the Hanging Gardens, and the Gridfall", with skills, perks, your own island, and the chance to "take part in our community farm minigame, along with our adventure islands". The farm minigame and the adventure islands are the two systems there that map onto the district.
Official source: Loftia on Steam
Herb is the one named character. His official occupation on the Loftia site is Hanging Gardens' Caretaker, and his card calls him a lifelong steward who "trusts patience, cycles, and lived experience more than speed or efficiency". Whether he runs the farms, the fishing spots or both is not stated, so the title is the only hard fact.
Hanging Gardens against what the demo already contains
The demo runs October 19 to 26, 2026 and stops one district short. The October 19 Steam announcement puts it plainly: the demo covers the opening Loftia City questline, and "the demo questline will end just before you reach the next district, the Hanging Gardens". The district is what you meet first on launch day.
| System | Demo, October 19 to 26, 2026 | Early Access, November 3, 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Districts | Loftia City only | Loftia City, Hanging Gardens, Gridfall |
| Proficiencies | Capped at Level 5 | Cap removed, Perks to spend points in |
| Farming | Crops with renewable-powered tools | Adds Hydroponics Stations, nutrients, a chance at Super Crops |
| Salvaging | Salvage resources in the demo | Gridfall district, plus Urbex underground exploration |
The demo is not a scaled-down Hanging Gardens: it is a different location, a shorter arc, a tighter ruleset. The Loftia City guide covers the district you can walk today.

Official release-window trailer footage shows the poolside boardwalk and white balloons.
The four things inside the district
| Feature | What the official text says | Not published |
|---|---|---|
| Lush greenery | Shown in key art as a floating island with a giant pink tree and waterfalls | Species, nodes, layout |
| Cozy fishing spots | A feature | How many, what fish, any gate |
| Community farms | Matched by a community farm minigame in the Early Access description | Which crops, which plots |
| Mysterious dark forest | A feature, "waiting to be explored" | Contents, gating, rewards |
The farms have the clearest hooks. Loftia already runs on hydroponics, aquaponics and trellis growing, and the community farm minigame is the social version of that, which makes these farms the most plausible home for it, though the developers never say so. Fishing is the second outdoor pastime, and one of the proficiencies the developers name, so the Fishing proficiency is what you level at the district's waters, where the local expert is Kassim, Biodiversity Researcher and Fishing Expert.
The dark forest is the real gap, and the only honest way to write about it is to say so: the official sentence promises a forest and gives no hint of what is inside. Keep it separate from the exploration systems the developers documented. Urbex is scoped to Gridfall's underground areas, and adventure gauntlets are the challenge content the demo only partly showed. Neither is described as living in the Hanging Gardens forest.
What is confirmed and what is still undisclosed
| Question | Status as of October 22, 2026 |
|---|---|
| Map | Not disclosed. No map image, no layout, no entrances |
| Fish and where | Not disclosed. No official fish index exists |
| Crops in the community farms | Not disclosed. Crop names have never been published in text |
| Quests in the district | Not disclosed. Only Herb's caretaker role is named |
| What is in the dark forest | Not disclosed |
| Other NPCs there | Not disclosed. Herb is the only named resident |
| Level or proficiency gates | Not disclosed |
| Rewards, drops, daily limits | Not disclosed |
| How you unlock it | Not disclosed. It is a district of Loftia, so no separate ticket is implied, but no access rule is stated |
No number in that list exists yet, so any site publishing a Hanging Gardens map, fish table or crop list today is publishing speculation. The demo ends October 26, 2026 and Early Access opens November 3, 2026, which makes this page a checklist to verify at launch.
What else arrives on the same day
Hanging Gardens heads the official list of what is coming to Early Access, and six more features land with it: proficiencies past the demo's Level 5 cap with Perks, Hydroponics Stations for a chance at Super Crops, adoptable pets, new adventure gauntlets, more World Projects including a rebuild of the Loftia City Dome, and Urbex underground exploration inside Gridfall. The developers present them as Early Access features for the game as a whole, not as district content. Each has its own page: proficiencies and perks, hydroponics and super crops, pets, Gridfall guide.
Early Access is expected to run about a year, with 1.0 on a date that depends on community input, and the launch price may rise closer to 1.0.
Getting ready for launch night
The demo is the free rehearsal: it runs until October 26, 2026, and everything you finish carries into Early Access.
- Link your loftia.gg account in game with your email address before the demo ends. Without it, the developers cannot recover any rewards or progress made during the demo.
- Claim your character name while you are in it. One character per account can be created in the demo, and a name claimed during Next Fest is released if you do not log into Early Access between November 3, 2026 and February 3, 2027.
- Pick your server and your first-hour route. The demo ends at the gate, so the district is your first content; the release date guide covers the launch in both time zones.
- Loftia is buy-to-play at $29.99 in the US, $24.89 with the 17% launch discount, and there is no play subscription. The price guide has the breakdown.
Every player meets the district on the same night, so the first hours are the first look. Take the fishing spots before the farms, record what you find, and fill in the tables here.
FAQ
Can I visit Hanging Gardens in the Loftia demo?
No. The demo questline ends just before you reach the next district, the Hanging Gardens, per the Steam announcement of October 19, 2026. The district opens with Early Access on November 3, 2026 at 13:00 EST, per the official FAQ.
Is there a map of Hanging Gardens?
No official map has been published. The Early Access page carries one piece of official art, a floating island with a giant pink tree and waterfalls, and the trailer shows a poolside boardwalk. How the district connects to Loftia City must be learned in the world.
What can I actually do in Hanging Gardens?
Fishing, community farming, and exploring the greenery and the dark forest, on the official description alone. There is no published quest chain, fish list or level requirement, and the farm minigame is the most specific system tied to it.
Does Hanging Gardens unlock Hydroponics Stations and Super Crops?
The Early Access list adds Hydroponics Stations and Super Crops for Loftia as a whole. The developers have not said they are Hanging Gardens features, and have not said they are not, so treat them as game-wide.
Who is Herb, and will they hand out quests?
Herb's official occupation is Hanging Gardens' Caretaker, and his card describes a patient steward who trusts cycles over speed. No quest or shop role has been published for him, so the title is the only confirmed detail.
Do I need to buy Loftia to reach Hanging Gardens?
Yes. Loftia is buy-to-play at $29.99 in the US, $24.89 with the 17% launch discount, and new content during Early Access is free for owners.
